Dominique McKenzie brings a wealth of experience in policy, government relations, strategic communications, and stakeholder engagement to Seven Hills Strategy Group. Known for her collaborative approach and deep understanding of state and local government, Dominique helps clients navigate complex policy landscapes and advance impactful, mission-driven initiatives. She works with clients on legislative tracking, legislative and regulatory monitoring, analysis and reporting, and compliance with state lobbying registration and disclosure requirements.

Before joining Seven Hills, Dominique gained experience as a state and local government relations professional, lobbying local officials and members of the Virginia General Assembly on a broad portfolio of client matters, including education, healthcare, transportation, and energy. She also served as Chief of Staff to Richmond City Council’s Ninth District, where she led policy development and coalition-building efforts that resulted in expanded language access for Council meetings and advancements in affordable housing and economic development. Her public sector background is complemented by a keen ability to build consensus across broad audiences.

Dominique holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Old Dominion University and is currently pursuing her MBA at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is an alumna of the Grace E. Harris Minority Political Leadership Institute and was named to Old Dominion University’s 2024 “40 Under 40 Alumni” for her civic and professional impact.

An active member of her community, Dominique serves on the Boards of the Virginia League for Planned Parenthood, the Richmond Public Library Foundation, and the Fan District Association. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, staying active, and spending time with her husband, their daughter, and their two beloved dogs.
